ANOTHER NEW COLLEAGUE!!!
NEW COLLEAGUE!!!
We proudly present your our new colleague Menno Bakema. Menno will be working in the After Sales department as Project Engineer. We would like to introduce Menno to you with the following short interview.
Who are you?
My name is Menno Bakema, graduated in telematics at the university of Windesheim Zwolle. I am back living in South-Holland after three years of living abroad in the USA when I was working for TESS.
Why did you choose to work for Radio Zeeland DMP?
I chose to start working at Radio Zeeland because you are very close to technology, and this is where my heart lies. I also get the opportunity with you to grow along a clear path. I see Radio Zeeland DMP as a group of people who like things to be clear and are very involved in what they do and for each other.
Which expertise and experience do you bring with you?
I have worked for Imtech, RH Marine, and Tess for 12 years as a commissioner/ senior automation engineer. Last three years I spent in the USA with Tess where I completed entire projects from A to Z, including sales calculations, project preparation, engineering, executions, and financial handling.
My strength lies in understanding each phase of a project, presenting technical solutions based on sometimes the proverbial "napkin", identifying possible pain points in advance and communicate well with customers.
What are your ambitions for the coming years?
Growing into a managing position. I have now been in the field for more than 12 years, with this experience I can organize and manage projects well in advance so people in the field encounter as little trouble as possible.
What are your hobbies?
I like to play with my son, he is currently in the gaming phase.. and playing a lot outside. Other hobbies are metal and woodworking, home jobs, electronics, and being a blinkered specialist…
